4Minute: No Hate

4Minute
Recently listened to “Hate” and “Crazy”. They were hard but wish the beat was a beat rougher. That would have made the songs even better. I like the girls in the group, they seem to have great chemistry. Behind 2Ne1 this group is my favorite group from Korea. I don’t listen to a lot of K-pop but when I do its usually those two groups. Nam Ji-hyun was my favorite member of the group as not only is beautiful but she can sing.
I really enjoy their vocals and just found out the group disbanded last year. It seemed like the group members butted heads and decided to end the group with only Hyuna resigning with A Cube Entertainment. I don’t know much about this group but I am glad I found their music. It’s great to listen to when I do cardio. I expect Hyuna to do a lot as she appears to be the best known member. Time will only tell how these women will survive in solo careers.

Hyuna the only one who remained loyal to the company. She released an EP in the latter half of 2016 and appeared at award shows.

Heo Ga-yoon signed with BS Company to be an actress as she has previously appeared in a few MBC shows like Top Gear Korea and Let’s Eat 2. IN 2016 she debuted in her first film Father, Daughter as a supporting character.

Jeon Ji-yoon joined JS E&M as a solo artist, debuting her solo career with the stage name “Jenyer” releasing her first album in the same year.

Kwon So-hyun is with 935 Entertainment as an actress. She has stated she will be starring in a Korean variety show in the near future.

Nam Ji-hyun joined Artist Company and going on to star in the MBC drama My Little Baby

Boy's Over Flowers supporting actress is dead: Jang Ja-yeon

Jang Ja-yeon played a supporting character in the drama Boys Over Flowers. After the second episode or third episode, you will notice that one character's actress has changed. This is due to Jang Ja-yeon hanging herself in her apartment. Jang was only 27 years old at the time and only had three acting credits. She debuted in a commercial three years prior to her death and would go on to appear in Boys Over Flowers, They Are Coming and Penthouse Elephant

The root of her actions was caused by the mistreatment of her management company. What they did to her was despicable. Over the three years of her career, she was forced to sleep with many VIPs and was beaten by her manager. All she wanted was to be an actress, they didn' have to do this. It sickens me to know that this went on for three years and the police didn't find out until her death. They could have prevented this event if there had been one smart person to investigate the company.

Her manager was arrested in Japan for basically staying longer than he was welcomed to. They shipped him back to South Korea. He was only given one year for staying in Japan longer than he was supposed to. Moral of the story is, most of the bad guys get away with the crimes they committed.

Somehow internet users were able to get ahold of a list of 31 people accused of committing sexual acts upon Jang Ja-yeon. The name's included are that of a Boys Over Flowers producer, a Newspaper CEO, Cproducers for KBS, Music Producer for Boys Over Flowers and many others. I smell a cover up as none of the thirty-one people were charged with any crime. The police also stated that the notes were not written by Jang Ja-yeon but earlier in the investigation, they stated that the handwriting was proven to be Jang's.

The police have stated that this case is closed....

To me, this seems like a big event they wanted to close quickly due to the people involved. It's all these industry bigwigs against the life of an actress. There are dramas out there, where this is actually what happens. There are several other entertainment companies in Korea that are stated to be slave owners. These idols are forced to do so much in such a little amount of time and they can't be in relationships most of the time.
So no matter what is stated by the police, I will take the path of believing in Jang Ja-yeon. If I knew about this sooner, I would be able to find more information about this case. But there is nothing really new out and most of the articles about her are dated 2011.

351 aspiring actresses were asked if they have ever been asked for sex, 6 in 10 said yes.

Kim Ah-joong

Kim Ah-joong is a famous actress who can also sing and dance. That's not rare for an actress in modern times yet I believe Ah-joong stands out because of her voice. In the film 200 Pounds Beauty, I was exposed to her singing. It was an understatement to say I was just impressed. Unlike a lot of Korean singers, Ah-joong has strong vocals that seem to be missing in modern Korean music besides Ailee and Dahee (but Ailee doesn't count and we might not get to hear Dahee sing again).

As an actress she is fearless and takes parts I'm sure other top actresses wouldn't take like her choice to star in My PS Star. The film is about a woman who tries to have phone sex with her boyfriend but she ends up dialing the wrong number. She ends up describing what she wants to do sexually to her boyfriend and starts to moan to a complete stranger who hasn't said a word until the phone call gets a little less awkward. Over time the two become confidants, they end up calling each other because they have no one else. Kim Ah-joong showed off her sexiness and characters sexual desire as well as comedic acting chops to make a successful erotic romantic comedy (which is a mouthful).

She will probably be best known as "Jenny" from 200 Pounds Beauty. Kang Ha-na is an overweight singer who is the true voice behind a "beautiful" idol who can't sing and Ha-na moonlights as a phone sex operator. After being humiliated at a party, Ha-na decides to get plastic surgery. After the surgery she auditions at the company she already works for but as a Korean-American woman named Jenny. Jenny becomes a star at a price, In the end she decides to come clean. Ah-joong was able to do so much in the film, the role required her to display a lot of emotion which she seemed to do naturally. The film can come across in two ways, either it will make you think it was pro-surgery or at times anti-plastic surgery. I guess it depends on what kind of person you are and if you can read between the lines.

Ah joong would also star as a thief in the romantic comedy Steal My Heart. It showed that she could do a light action film. It's something different than the other films she has done in the best. As of today her last appearance was in 2014 when she starred in the drama Punch. Kim Ah-joong is an excellent actress who doesn't seem to work a lot. But she is only 33, so hopefully we will get to see her more often and for a long time.

Besides her career, Kim Ah-joong graduated from  Dongduk Women's University and even attended International Hotel Management Institute Switzerland.

Yoo Sun

Yoo Sun is a 39 year old actress who made her debut in 1999.  According to research she is best known for her performances in Black House, GLove, and Don't Cry Mommy. Lucky for me, I have seen all three of those films.
