The root of her actions was caused by the mistreatment of her management company. What they did to her was despicable. Over the three years of her career, she was forced to sleep with many VIPs and was beaten by her manager. All she wanted was to be an actress, they didn' have to do this. It sickens me to know that this went on for three years and the police didn't find out until her death. They could have prevented this event if there had been one smart person to investigate the company.
Her manager was arrested in Japan for basically staying longer than he was welcomed to. They shipped him back to South Korea. He was only given one year for staying in Japan longer than he was supposed to. Moral of the story is, most of the bad guys get away with the crimes they committed.
Somehow internet users were able to get ahold of a list of 31 people accused of committing sexual acts upon Jang Ja-yeon. The name's included are that of a Boys Over Flowers producer, a Newspaper CEO, Cproducers for KBS, Music Producer for Boys Over Flowers and many others. I smell a cover up as none of the thirty-one people were charged with any crime. The police also stated that the notes were not written by Jang Ja-yeon but earlier in the investigation, they stated that the handwriting was proven to be Jang's.
The police have stated that this case is closed....
To me, this seems like a big event they wanted to close quickly due to the people involved. It's all these industry bigwigs against the life of an actress. There are dramas out there, where this is actually what happens. There are several other entertainment companies in Korea that are stated to be slave owners. These idols are forced to do so much in such a little amount of time and they can't be in relationships most of the time.
So no matter what is stated by the police, I will take the path of believing in Jang Ja-yeon. If I knew about this sooner, I would be able to find more information about this case. But there is nothing really new out and most of the articles about her are dated 2011.
351 aspiring actresses were asked if they have ever been asked for sex, 6 in 10 said yes.
