200 Korean University Professors charged with Plagiarism

In late 2015, it was discovered that over two hundred South Korean university professors were being indicted on counts of copyright violations due to them publishing other people's books in their names. The reason behind this was to pump up their status around campus so they have a higher chance to keep their jobs. That seems a bit stupid when you think about the consequences of stealing someone else's work.

The professors face up to five years in prison and hefty fines. I'm sure they will no longer have their jobs too and most of them will be disgraced unless they have the right connections.
