Suicide Forecast

A comedy drama film that will touch your heart.

"
Baseball player-turned-insurance salesman Byung-woo (Ryoo Seung-bum) is seen as the cocky ace of his company until one of his clients commits suicide. The police suspect him of aiding and abetting the suicide, which almost jeopardizes Byung-woo's career. Anxious to ensure it won't happen again, he gets in touch with his previous clients. Particularly those who seem the type to commit suicide.
During his quest to turn their lives around for the better, Byung-woo reunites with a lonely husband (Park Chul-min), a debt-ridden lounge singer (Younha), a homeless young man (Im Joo-hwan), and a widowed mother (Jung Sun-kyung)."

Byung Woo (Ryoo Seung-bum) is a cocky insurance man that only cares for himself and his girlfriend. He doesn't care what happens to the people around him as long as he gets what he wants. He loses his girlfriend due to his uncaring nature and might even lose his job because of his choices in the past. As a young salesman he gave insurance to people who have tried to commit suicide in the past. Fearing this Byung Woo starts to revisit everyone he gave insurance too and tries to improves their lives. Eventually he grows a heart and slowly becomes a better person. Byung-woo is a man who represents people in the modern era.

So-Yeon (Younha) is a singer at nightclub who just wants to pay her guitar and sing. Sadly she has debts and must hide from creditors as trying to protect her younger brother. She lives in an abandoned bus with her brother. So-Yeon is such a hardworking girl but no one lends her an helping hand until she meets Byung-woo again and changes everyone's life forever. So-Yeon represents the modern day youth in many countries, she is such an easy character to relate to.

Young-Tak (Lim Ju-Hwan) is a homeless man who has a tic disorder. He has a sister and a baby niece that he cares for deeply. He lies to them about how he lives but i'm pretty sure she knows that he is lying. This man usually has a smile on his face and tries real hard in order to live.

Bok-Soon (Jung Sun-Kyung) is a single mother who works as a temporary garbage collector. She is distnant with her eldest daughter but still tries to be a good mother to her. Bok-soon is just a hardworking woman that we can all feel for as she dedicates her whole life to her children.

This film features a wonderful cast of actors like Ryoo Seung-bum who really made me into his fan after watching this film. He able to convey the emotions wonderfully and was able to show the character change slowly. All the supporting actors where interesting as well as they were able to make us believe in their characters. This film is truly a wonderful piece of work as it deals with a dark subject like Suicide and manages to make it work.
