A very touching film that will find its way into your heart.
"A young man with autism, named Cho-won, finds release only in running. As a child, Cho-won regularly threw tantrums, bit himself, and refused to communicate with others—finding solace only in zebras and the Korean snack, choco pie. His mother never gave up on him and was determined to prove to the world that her child can be normal. As Cho-won gets older, he begins to find a passion for running and his mother is there to encourage and support him. Even though their family suffers from financial difficulties, they find a former marathon champion, Jung-wook — now a lethargic older man with an alcohol problem."
This film was so excellent, it's main character has a case of autism and all he wants to do is run. People tell him he cant because he is autistic. They try to hold him back when they should just help him to achieve his dream. Along the way he manages to change everyone around him even the toughest people soften up to him. It truly is a wonderful film with a wonderful message.
Cho-won (Cho Seung-woo) is a young man with a hard case of autism but doesn't let that hold him back from achieving his dream. He has a big heart and a rare purity that will make every scene heartfelt. All he wants to do is to run and run nothing matters than that. He is good at running but everyone tries to hold him back because he is autistic.
Kyung -Sook (Kim Mi-Sook) plays Cho-won's mother who is a remarkable woman. She is very tough with her eldest son and might be too harsh to him. She pushes him too far at times and is quite controlling. She does her best though, she even gets a trainer for him so her son can achieve his dreams.
Cho Seung-woo is truly amazing in the film, he is defintly the star of the film . It was amazing how he managed to keep my attention and make it seem like he was really autistic. I happened to also enjoy Kim Mi-sook's performance as well since she helped the story go on and also serve as the second main character.
I suggest this movie to those that like touching films.
