The family torn by pain and sex: Moebius

Another feature film from the "underground" Korean director Kim Ki-duk. This is one of the most f*cked up movies I have ever seen. So if you have never seen one of his movies then be prepared for anything. Kim Ki-duk's films are unpredictable at times and balance on the thin borderline of insanity and downright mad.

This is the journey a very very dysfunctional family driven to the brink thanks to the fathers cheating and the mother having a psychotic break down. Sadly it is the son that receives the worst punishment due to his father and mother's problems.

Show me the Sex: Green Chair

"When an ordinary housewife is convicted for seducing a minor, reckless love leads to obsession and creeping doubt." - IMDb

It starts kind of slow but you will understand why as the movie goes on. This film has a lot of sex scenes so you have been warned.

Kim Mun-hee has just been released from jail after she had an affair with a 19 year old (In Korea 20 is the legal age to have sex). She is the wise one despite the fact she can't control her emotions or body around her 19 year old lover Seo-hyun. The two decide to rent a room, though they mainly stay inside having sex. Mun-hee is still like a teacher as she guides Seo-hyun the various positions and techniques involved in having sex. Her motives appear simple but before her naked form there is a complex person who doesn't truly understand what she should be doing.

While Seo-hyun is very childish despite him trying not to be. He tries to act like a man and prove himself worthy of a relationship with Mun-hee. At the end of the movie he appears to have undergone a quite change of character as he becomes more of a man. He grows up even though I see him as a puppy always attached to Mun-hee.

If you are not comfortable with images like the one above then you shouldn't watch this film.

Foxy Festival

Foxy Festival poster.jpg

Truly a character driven comedy that will make you laugh and second guess yourself on many topics.

"Loose cannon Kwak Jang-bae (Shin Ha-kyun), a neighborhood policeman, is obsessed with his sexual prowess and continually wants to have sex with his live-in girlfriend, Ji-su (Uhm Ji-won), an English teacher at a private school who is bored with his macho behavior. Forthright high-school student Ju Ja-hye (Baek Jin-hee) sells her sweat-stained panties on the internet and wants to lose her virginity to scruffy fish-sausage seller Choi-kang Sang-du (Ryoo Seung-bum); the older man is uninterested in her advances but Ja-hye cannot work out why. Ja-hye's mother (Shim Hye-jin), who sells hanbok (traditional Korean female dress), discovers the owner of a hardware shop opposite, Gi-bong (Sung Dong-il), is into S&M and starts having sessions with him in the back of his shop, assuming a dominatrix role. Kim Gwang-rok (Oh Dal-su), Ja-hye's teacher, is a married man who is secretly into wearing women's clothes when his wife is not around. When Jang-bae discovers Ji-su has ordered a vibrator, he has a major crisis over his manhood and stops sleeping with her. Meanwhile, as his neighborhood has been marked for a moral clean-up campaign by the police, it's only time before Jang-bae also bumps heads with its denizens' licentious goings-on"

We have multiple characters that I could talk forever on. Like Jang-bae a man who second guesses his sexual abilities which cause him to not satisfy his live in girlfriend Ji-su who ordered and used a vibrator in order to achieve sexual pleasure. We also have a very sexual aware teenager Ju Ja-hye who sells her sweaty underwear and wants to sleep with an older man who sells fish sausage. Plus Ju Ja-hye's mother who appears closed minded but we learn she has a fantasy of playing the dominant partner in a sexual relationship and has finally found her perfect sub.

Jang-bae a cop with a macho behavior that doesn't suit him anymore since he is no longer a young stud. Yet no one will tell him that to his face nor will he listen to them. Due to this macho behavior he only cares about his satisfaction even though he doesn't realize he cant satisfy his woman. He even takes a bigger blow when he discovers that his girl ordered and used a vibrator because he cant get her off. Jung-bae does all he can in order to regain his former sexual ability even at the cost of losing his girlfriends heart.

Ji-su is an English teacher at a private school who lives with her boyfriend. Ji-su is sexually frustrated and quite sad about her love life. Desperate enough she buys a vibrator so she can have a little fun in the bed for once. Her body eventually becomes sore from all of Jang-bae's failed attempts at satisfying her and eventually her heart is the one that has had enough.

Ju-Jae hye is  a sexually aware high school girl who doesn't shy away from nipple slippers or moving dick toys. She really wants to sleep with the man who sells fish sausage. She is very blunt and open about her feelings. We learn as the story goes on that she is still a young girl who has some more to go until she is mature enough.

Choi-kang Sang-du is a fish-sausage salesman who Ju-jae wants to sleep with yet he doesn't respond to her advances even though she is a pretty girl. As we discover the reason why is that he believes that he is in love with a life school sex doll that looks like Kim Ah-joong (it really is her, she does a small cameo in the film) but we see him take a real interest in Ju-jae after he discovers what's real.

This is an an all-star ensemble film aboud so many sexual things it will be a crazy ride. This move is hilarious and has heart which is what you don't expect. This cast is so talented who ever did the casting knew what they were doing.
We have Shin Ha-kyun (All About My Romance), Uhm Ji-won (Mutt Boy), Sung Dong-il(200 Pound Beauty), Baek Jin-hee (Acoustic), and a few others.

I suggest this film to those that like sexual comedies.

What are you weaing tonight?: My Phone Sex Partner

"Instead of calling her boyfriend, Yoon-jung accidentally calls a total stranger, Hyun-seung, a man who is having trouble getting over his ex-girlfriend. She ends up having phone sex with him and later, they become comfortable with each other and start talking about their respective relationship problems. They eventually decide to meet and a more intimate friendship develops, which leads to both falling for each other."

Truly an interesting sexual romantic comedy from South Korea. I enjoyed this film so much that I hope to be able to buy it someday and keep it in my private collection.
Just like My Secret Partner this film is not corny!

Yoon-jung is a complicated woman that will do anything to please her man but he is too busy to deal with her. Even when she dresses up in sexy lingerie in an attempt to seduce him but he goes to sleep. What a pathetic man! do to this Yoon-jung gets close to Hyun-seung, whom she eventually has an affair with. Even though she loves Hyun-seung she tries to get married to her boyfriend but it doesn't play out because she gains the courage to follow her heart before it is too late.

Hyun-seung is a down on his luck musician, who enjoys guitars and women. He is erotic when he opens up and shows his confident self. He is trying to strengthen his resolve after his girlfriend breaks up with him. Thanks to Yoon-jung he gets over his ex and falls for her instead. Hyun-seung finds Yoon-jung as a muse for his music. He has the courage to be himself and won't back down even if he goes down a rocky path.

Ji-Sung is a wonderful actor and I enjoyed watching him. He a way that makes it fun to see him "play" with women in the movie. You have to have courage to make a film like this and Ji-Sung proves he has it. I enjoyed listening to him singing an erotic song in the film.

Kim Ah-joong is such a wonderful actress, she is sexy and so funny to watch. She has a way to be both intelligent but naïve; she makes that odd combination work perfectly. She doesn't hold back her sexuality in this film and I enjoyed seeing her.

I will suggest this movie to anyone that likes romantic comedies that borderline on the erotic.

Let's Talk about Sex: My Secret Partner

A non-corny erotic comedy from South Korea proves to be a good watch. Not only is there nudity and great sex but there is an actual story.  Yoon Chae-Yi was amazing in her first movie!

" Screen-writer Joon-Suk (Kim Young-Ho) desperately needs new inspiration and prospective writer Yeon-Hee (Yoon Chae-Yi) is full of passion, but struggles because of lack of creativity. Cook researcher Hee-Sook (Kim Hye-Sun) is desperate to develop new cooking ideas. Her student Min-Soo (Kim San-Ho) is full of novel ideas. Beyond the relationship of teacher and student, 2 couples' touch-and-go relationship continues ... "

This is my favorite couple on this film and the one that has a better spark in a sense. Joon-Suk (Kim Young-ho) is a screenwriting professor suffering from lack of creativity. He has a son who is Min-Soo who wants to be a chef. Joon-Suk's world is lit on fire when he runs into his student Yeon-Hee outside a movie theater. There's a misunderstanding between the two with Joon-Suk thinking that Yeon-Hee has offered him a "green light" but he is mistaken. Yet, his heated kiss and touch excites the young writer to the point they end up in a hotel room. Their sex is great and you can feel the fire between the two. It was truly fun to see, all the sex scenes were very interesting. This relationship proves to be not just about sex but about true love.

Beware my pretties there is nudity!

The second couple is Joon Suk's son, Min Soo, and Yeon Hee's mother, Hee-Sook. Min Soo does his best to prove himself to Hee Sook and ends up doing it in her wardrobe room. An innocent foot rub becomes a bewitching battle of lust in interesting positions. Their sex scenes were usually in public places and usually creative. There is a fire between the two, but the previous two characters are my favorite.

It is a good film to watch with your lover, maybe you could practice a few scenes for yourself. Please do try at home ;)
