A heartfelt sports film that will change your definition of special and baseball.

"Kim Sang-nam (Jung Jae-young), a hot-tempered professional baseball player, is sent to the countryside to coach a team of hearing-impaired players in order to avoid media coverage of his recent involvement in an assault case. At first, Sang-nam has a difficult time imagining how he can teach baseball to a group of boys who can’t hear, but as he spends time with them he starts to believe that they can play the game. Motivated, Sang-nam decides to help them prepare for the nationals. As Sang-nam trains them, he forms bonds with the players, as well as with the music teacher and baseball manager Ms. Na (Yoo Sun). But things don’t go the way Kim plans and their difficulties communicating with one another exacerbates the situation"

A down on his luck professional baseball player becomes a coach for a hearing impaired team that just the love the game of baseball. Even if they don't know how to play it well, all they need is a chance.
Their chance is in the form of Kim Sang-nam (Jung Jae-young) who is a famous baseball player who is the new baseball coach for an hearing impaired school where almost everyone doesn't understand why these kids want to play baseball. At first Sang-nam is only there in order to have good publicity to try to cancel out his recent scandals. Eventually he grows to like this job and starts to seriously train the students. We see this character grow so much and becomes humble enough to actually start enjoying the simple things in life.

Ms. Na (Yoo Sun) is the baseball manager and the music teacher. She happens to be an big advocate for the baseball program and can be seen as truly loving her job. She clashes with Sang-nam but the two eventually get close and there is a hint of romance towards the end. Ms. Na is filled with smiles and is quite enjoyable to watch. But don't cross her or her students, if you do she might just show you her temper.

I totally adore Yoo Sun for some reason and this happens to be my favorite role of hers since she plays a different character than her normal ones. This character is truly warm and it seemed like Yoo Sun could act this out perfectly.
Jung Jae-young happens to be one of my favorite Korean actors, as he is always interesting to see when he is on the screen. He plays this role perfectly and is so into the character. You just want to grow along with him and the others.
These two have chemistry and it was their second film together which made their relationship on the screen a little better.

I suggest this film to those that like heartfelt sports films
